Wallace Holland

Wallace Holland is a subject matter expert (SME) at ALPS. As a certified Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) instructor, he taught the Basic Long-Term Care Courses – Traditional and Quality Indicator Survey (QIS) for six years. Wallace is also an instructional design SME and aided in the design of these courses.

Wallace’s expertise includes service as a training specialist for the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), where he acted as a lead trainer in educational services for 13 years, analyzing training needs and their alignment with materials and other information as appropriate to targeted audiences.

His expertise also includes seven years of service as a generalist surveyor/investigator, where he conducted inspections, certification surveys, and investigations of abuse, neglect, and exploitation by staff in long-term care facilities, while determining compliance in other areas with State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Wallace’s educational background includes an MA in Management from Webster University. He also has a BS in Psychology from the University of Maryland.

Wallace served 21 years as a U.S. Air Force special agent/investigator for the Office of Special Investigations in Washington, DC, before retiring. He then continued his work as an abuse/neglect investigator in long-term care for the State of Texas.
